Rob Villalobos, CM&AA
Managing Director & Partner
I’ve had the privilege of advising on numerous lower-middle market business transactions throughout my M&A career—a journey that began with helping position my mother’s agricultural business for a successful exit in 2012. That experience sparked a true passion for working with entrepreneurs and closely held companies navigating major transitions.
Raised in an entrepreneurial family, I saw firsthand the grit and dedication it takes to build and scale a business. In college, I joined my grandfather’s company in DFW—founded in 1978—which grew to become one of the nation’s leading conveyor manufacturers. After earning my degree from UTA, I spent time in operations and marketing roles across several large organizations spanning healthcare, finance, and tech.
Before returning to M&A and co-founding Founder M&A, I consulted for startups and co-led a nonprofit business incubator supporting small business owners and entrepreneurs in Fort Worth, Texas. Today, as a Managing Director and Partner at Founder, I’m passionate about guiding business owners through successful transactions—ensuring their legacy is preserved as their company transitions to its next chapter.
