My career began in the medical device services, compliance, and distribution space. What started as a simple idea grew into a small business, and eventually into an industry leader. I followed in my father’s footsteps, turning wrenches and repairing medical equipment for home health providers. From a young age, I had the rare privilege of learning every aspect of business firsthand, thanks to a mentor who guided me through both the technical and operational sides of the work.
Straight out of school, I joined our family business full-time, back when we were just a handful of people working hard to make a difference. Over the years, we experienced tremendous growth, eventually becoming the largest medical device service organization in North America, with over 250 service technicians operating out of five locations. I served in nearly every role, culminating in my position as CEO.
My first experience with M&A came as I led that very company through its own transaction—a deeply personal and pivotal moment in my professional life. That experience sparked the next phase of my career, as I shifted my focus to M&A full-time and began executing a national acquisition strategy.
